A visit to Abalindi Children's Home

Wow wow wow.

We were privileged enough to help Nelisa Mchunu turn her dream of hosting her own soup kitchen into a reality and we know this day will be in our hearts forever. Nelisa chose to support the Abalindi Children's Home as she was touched by their story of how a community opened their hearts and created the Abalindi Wellfare Society in aid of all those, young and old, who do not have a family.

We gathered our incredible team which included Ceecee Mobasa, Milani Motlohi, Carol Mkhize and Siphesihle Yeni and got together at the Abalindi Children's Home and got straight to work (or play should we say!)

Whilst Chef Milzzy cooked up a storm in the kitchen, Nelisa, Ceecee, and Phe interacted and played games with the children outside. With all the laughter, fun and happiness shared on that playground time seemed to fly by and it was time to eat. The children were brought into the dining hall and were seated. After saying grace, they lined up to receive a bowl of soup of their choice.

After lunch we headed back outside to spend what time we had left with the children. The joy shared and the bonds created in such a short space of time made it an incredible heartsore and emotional goodbye.

Our hearts were overflowing with love and happiness from these children. Their gentle, kindhearted and beautiful souls have touched our lives and this will be a day we're sure will never be forgotten.

Thank you to Mrs. Sibilya, Pastor Sibisi and the Abalindi Children's Home for having us and we are sure we will be visiting you again soon!
